Media interested in covering Inaugural events at the U.S. Capitol Building must apply for press credentials through the Senate Press Gallery. The Galleries include the Daily Press Gallery, Periodical Press Gallery, Radio/TV Gallery, and Press Photographers’ Gallery. Each have their own application procedures. Applications are currently closed for the 61st Inaugural Ceremonies, but will open in the Fall of 2028. More information will become available at that time.

Media interested in covering other Inaugural events off of Capitol Hill (the Inaugural Parade, Inaugural Balls, etc.), should coordinate with the Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC), which will be established after the 2028 election.
